Consistency and Accuracy

One of the key issues in the translation industry is consistency of terminology. A translator can easily forget how he translated a particular term even a week ago. Over periods of time this can result in confusion and lack of confidence among the readership.

Kerry Services use the latest CAT (computer aided technology) in all our projects to avoid this problem. Besides ensuring consistency, the technology avoids the need for manual duplication of translations. This ultimately saves money. Furthermore, we use the CAT-filters to ensure a smooth transition from word processing packages to DTP software.

A Caveat

As with all technology, no matter how useful and time-saving it may be, the product ultimately depends on the skill and expertise of the operator. Technical translations require a technical translator who understands the subject matter.
